“Blue Christmas” refers to a feeling of sadness, grief or loneliness during the holiday season, particularly because of a loss. It can also refer to a “Longest Night” service held during the winter solstice that acknowledges this pain. A Blue Christmas Service offers a safe space for people to honor their grief and find comfort. Rather than pushing feelings of sadness away, we recognize that it’s okay not to feel joyful.

Homeland’s bereavement and spiritual counselors are partnering with the following churches this season to provide a Blue Christmas Service. All are welcome to attend.
